**Assistant Acquisition Surveyor**

Following our continued record number of store openings and long-term ambition for up to 1,600 stores in the UK & ROI the Development team help play a crucial role to support Domino’s vision to become the number one pizza company in every neighbourhood. From developing a robust network plan, aligning growth plans with our franchisees, to securing sites, programme management and store onboarding.

This is an evolving role to support the Acquisitions Team, helping source new store opportunities across the UK&I, negotiate detailed Heads of Terms and present opportunities to the New Store Committee for approval. To work collaboratively with Franchisees at all stages of each project ensuring regular and effective communication with them and other stakeholders. To support the team of Acquisition Surveyors with getting other projects lease completed & stores open. Ultimately working towards your own geographical area.

**Responsibilities include**
- Work collaboratively with Acquisitions, Location Planning and Construction to present solid recommendations to the New Store Committee.
- To support the Acquisition Surveyors to source and review potential sites in various target areas across the UK&I and arrange visits with franchisees to establish suitability. This includes canvassing ; land registry searches / VOA / Planning & rental comparable.
- Support our Acquisition Surveyors by negotiating the best deal available, recording all project costs and obtaining Franchisee approval to all costs.
- Securing a cost Strategy with Franchisees and to create and maintain accurate records of all costs predicted/incurred on a project ensuring that Franchisee approval of all costs has been obtained. Agreeing cost/risk strategy with Franchisees and provide professional advice in agreeing risks ensuring all Due Diligence is undertaken.
- Work closely external consultants to ensure all necessary consents are obtained and due diligence undertaken before committing to Lease, providing instructions to solicitors to facilitate the agreement of a suitable Lease that is in line with Domino’s Lease Policy and represents the best deal achievable.
- Ensuring all necessary statutory consents are obtained.
- Provide regular, accurate forecasts of key milestone dates for each project ensuring effective communication of these forecasts to key stakeholders and colleagues.
- Providing best-in-class professional advice to Franchisees
- Work closely with other internal departments - Legal; Operations and Construction
- Work collaboratively with external partners - planning & legal to deliver new stores as efficiently as possible.

**What we are looking for..**
- Either a university graduate with a property related degree qualification with some industry experience or a non-graduate completing an external property related Diploma/Foundation Degree/Degree.
- Started career with agency experience and looking to join Dominos for site acquisition experience (desirable)
- Long Term aim of the individual likely to want to be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Should have a basic knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Law with a desire to develop that knowledge to a good/excellent level of knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Law.
- Thorough understanding of the planning system and, in particular, issues relating to change of use to Sui Generis /Hot Food Take Away sector (Desirable).
- Ability to develop good relationships with property agents and developers.
- Ability to understand the complex inter relationship of the various stakeholders within the acquisition process and the key relationship between Dominos and the Franchisee.
