This is undoubtedly one of the highest profile roles in the UK insurance market, and one that will see you playing an integral role in shaping the broking strategies and resources for this household name organisation.

Our client is proud to be at the top of its game, and it is your job to ensure that the company maintains its competitive edge within this rapidly-evolving market.

This newly-created position has arisen as a result of a strategic restructure of the senior leadership team. It’s a multi-faceted role, with numerous touchpoints across the business, where you’ll be responsible for setting and overseeing the direction and goals for the client-facing offering, ensuring that clients remain at the heart of business propositions and practices.

As an inspirational leader, you’ll enhance the culture of the broking function, instilling core values across the team and ensuring a united approach throughout. You’ll actively engage colleagues in the development of strategy, structure and culture, ensuring that they are appropriately graded, rewarded and recognised for their contribution, and this will extend to developing talent retention, succession, acquisition and development strategies.

From a revenue growth perspective, you’ll play an integral role in improving efficiencies, and maximising business / sales opportunities by ensuring that clients are consistently made fully aware of, and benefit from the whole range of products and services available to them. You’ll be involved with fascinating projects such as creating a placement resourcing model, working closely with both open market carriers and in-house facilities to maximise income. As a company ambassador, you’ll act as a spokesperson in the market, in a manner wholly consistent with the company’s policies, values and behaviours.

You must be a creative thinker, with the confidence, assertiveness and diplomacy skills to challenge the status quo, ‘shake things up’ where necessary, and implement positive change. You’ll demonstrate a desire to embrace new technologies, such as finding ways to digitise parts of the process, where appropriate. You’ll be working alongside some of the most gifted senior leaders within the UK broking market, and you’ll share their passion, energy, enthusiasm and drive to achieve excellence. ‘Shrinking violets’ need not apply, and you’ll have the resilience and determination to see your ideas through to fruition, promoting the value in doing things deliberately differently.

It's essential that you already hold a high profile within the UK insurance market, together with an in-depth knowledge of leading a substantial, diverse business. You’ll have strategic leadership skills, an extensive network within the insurance market at senior level, together with commercial acumen and negotiation skills of the highest order. You’ll also have well-honed interpersonal skills, with a reputation for acting ethically at all times and with integrity. It is likely that you come from either a sizeable corporate broker or insurer.

You can be based anywhere in the UK or Europe, however, you must be present in the office (predominantly London, but could also be a mix of regional offices), a couple of times a week.

You’ll be rewarded with an executive-level salary and benefits package, negotiable depending on your previous experience and capabilities. In addition, there is a market-leading flexible-benefits package, substantial bonus scheme, and stock options.
