The Technical Lead will be embedded into EDVANCE, working on the Sizewell project. This is a permanent opportunity, based in Bristol.

**About The Role**:
This service will support the delivery of nuclear power plant Emergency and Ultimate Diesel Generators (EDG/UDG) to the client, from external suppliers, through the following activities:

- Supporting the development of contract packages with a primary focus on definition of technical requirements and specifications, and detailed technical evaluation of supplier proposals.
- Authoring technical specifications and associated technical delivery documents where necessary to define the contract delivery requirements, including the coordination of technical specialists to provide inputs as necessary.
- Perform surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
- Coordination of technical specialists to perform review of deliverables and
resolution of technical issues.
- Lead contract technical and project meetings.
- Resolution activities for multi-disciplinary technical issues and queries, including input to/ownership of resolving technical Open Points (OP), interface queries and Design Changes (UKDC)
- Review and approve contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs)
- Liaise with other RD and client teams to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions, systems and structures.
- Liaise with RD and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery.
- Awareness of contract commercial structures and working practices, including supplier management.

**Required Technical Skills**:

- Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline (10-15 years).
- Understanding of Emergency Diesel Generators or similar multi-disciplinary
nuclear power plant equipment.
- Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design.
- Understanding of nuclear design processes, mechanical and electrical/C&I
interfaces (electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, anchorages, civil
work, piping, fluids, safety, systems engineering)
- IT literate.
- Capable of producing technical specifications.
- Sound understanding of nuclear equipment regulations such as RCC-E.
- Experience on the design of nuclear safety classified equipment.
- Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as
NEC/FIDIC.
- French-speaking would be an advantage.
- Experience using change-management, commercial and deliverable management
systems (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter) is advantageous.
