As an Army Reserve soldier, you will become a member of a highly skilled and motivated team. During your career, you will develop both physically and mentally whilst gaining new skills and qualifications, which can help in all aspects of your life.

All personnel within the Field Hospital are trained to be soldiers first and if pre-qualified use their professional skills within the unit. You will receive further professional training in your choice of trade:

Clinical / Non-Clinical

Driver

Chef

Combat Medical Technician

HR Administrator

**Pay and Benefits.**

As a Reservist, you'll be paid a day rate which is in line with Regular Army pay and is dependent on rank. You can also earn an annual "bounty' which is a tax free sum.

It's not just about the money, you'll learn soldiering skills, and you'll also get the chance to develop more specialist skills - these could lead to gaining extra qualifications and driving licences which will count outside the Army too.

**Commitment.**

Training is flexible and can fit around an individual’s life.

We ask for a minimum commitment of 27 days per year, but this includes a 16 day training camp.

Annual camp aside, the remainder of the commitment can easily be made up from the massive choice of training that occurs all year round, mainly on Wednesday evenings and weekends.

A Reserve Soldier can take advantage of up to 117 training days per year.
