**Job summary**:
Working as part of a busy team you will support the promotion and facilitation of effective clinical governance, safety, and risk management across the Division. This will include the implementation and monitoring of incident and risk management processes along with providing support with the co-ordination, implementation and delivery. The post holder will provide advice and guidance relating to any queries, and will be acting as the first point of contact within the team for the specialties within one of the seven Divisions.

The post holder will be responsible for reviewing & escalating incidents in line with local and national guidance, ensuring Duty of Candour compliance is adhered to, supporting the risk management principles and ensuring lessons learned are embedded. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient systems are in place to track and monitor incidents, risks, duty of candour and action plans.

Who we're looking for:

- An ability to work flexibly and responsively to the needs of the service and the wider Trust.
- Experience and an understanding of working within a clinical governance team or undertaking those tasks is desirable, however this is not essential as development opportunities and training will be provided.
- Computer literate, experience in using excel and be able to use pivot tables, manage heavy data and extracting information for reporting

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
To assist the Governance Facilitation Lead (GFL) to implement a range of Trust-wide clinical governance programmes to support the strategic development of the Trust's clinical governance, risk management, safety and compliance agenda, in line with the changing national agenda.

To prepare and personally present reports and papers for key personnel and committees, including monthly risk profiles, quarterly Quality Governance Reports, Speciality meetings and Quality and Safety committees. This requires the interpretation of complex information to develop reports for operational, medical and nursing professionals.

To follow up action plans with Specialties and collate evidence under the direction of the GFL. This will require an understanding of context through the reading of complex reports that contain sensitive information about clinical incidents.

To deliver comprehensive clinical governance training programmes across the Trust which includes providing specialist training for clinical and non-clinical staff.

To participate in the preparation for any external regulatory visit by CQC.

To meet regularly with the designated risk lead within each Specialty to ensure risks are reviewed and updated according to the Risk Management Policy.

To assist the GFL with any other activities, as required, to enhance the development of continuous quality improvement activities, clinical incident reporting, risk management, or any other relevant Safety and Governance activities.
