**LOCATION**:Roehampton, London (some global travel)

Please note that we are currently working to a hybrid model which requires a minimum of 3 days working in our office

based in Roehampton, London.

**International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the world governing body of tennis**. Founded in 1913, its

purpose is to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the sport, delivering tennis for future

generations in association with its 210 member nations. The ITF oversees the rules and regulations that

govern international and national competition.

The ITF is responsible for the worldwide development of tennis through its highly regarded

Development Programme, its Science and Technical department which monitors equipment and

technology, and its Officiating department which oversees the education and advancement of officials.

The ITF organises over 1,500 weeks of men’s, women’s and junior tournaments on the ITF World Tennis

Tour, and also manages the ITF junior team competitions, ITF Beach Tennis Tour, UNIQLO Wheelchair

Tennis Tour and the ITF Seniors Circuit. The ITF is the owner and rightsholder of the two largest annual

international team competitions in tennis, Davis Cup by Rakuten and Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas

and manages the Olympic Tennis Event on behalf of the IOC. The ITF upholds the highest standards of

integrity and manages the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme on behalf of the sport and is a partner in the

International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).

**Overview & Purpose of Role**Officiating and coordinating the rules and regulations of tennis is vital to the ITF. It is the full-time role

of the Head of Officiating to ensure the ITF presents a professional and consistent set of regulations for

the benefit of all its competitions and participants and externally in consultation with Regional and

National Associations and other tennis organisations and events.

The role aims to provide a strong regulatory and integrity framework along with maintaining the highest

standards of regulation across the sport so that confidence and trust is instilled and maintained, with

an emphasis on absolute fairness both to participants and to officials at all levels ensuring complete

clarity and consistency of processes and procedures.

This is a full-time role based in the London office and working closely with Major Events & Operations

plus Tours and Player Pathway. With a reporting line to the Senior Director, Major Events & Strategy

this role ensures the day-to-day operations within the Officiating unit run smoothly, efficiently,

transparently & fairly and with integrity at the heart of all activities.

**Leadership & General Management**:

- Manage the operations of the Officiating Department, including overseeing the activities of

Officiating team of two/three further team members ensuring the provision of an effective

service by controlling budgets, planning and problem solving
- Administer and develop the worldwide Joint Certification Programme (JCP) in conjunction with

the ATP, Grand Slam Board, WTA and Regional and National Associations
- Manage and administer the Officiating Code of Conduct and the ITF’s joint involvement in

disciplinary proceedings arising from it
- Responsible for the administration of the ITF/Grand Slam Team of Officials in coordination with

the Grand Slam Chief of Supervisors
- Responsible for the administration of the Joint Development Team in coordination with the

Grand Slam Board
- Oversee the Rules of Tennis, working closely with the ITF Rules Committee, ITF Rules and

Regulations Officer and the relevant ITF’s departments including Circuits, Major Events, Tours

and Player Pathway
- Work closely with the Rules and Regulations Officer and other ITF tennis departments to ensure

effective rules are harmonised, where possible, and consistently enforced in the Davis Cup, Billie

Jean King Cup, Olympics, Tours and Player Pathway and other ITF competitions
- Create and actively promote a working environment and culture that is in line with the Ambition

and Purpose, Mission and Values of the ITF
- Safeguard the integrity and regulation of the sport ensuring effective regulation by anticipating

and preparing for future developments which may threaten the integrity of the sport and to

maintain public confidence in the game
- Act as an ambassador for the ITF, building effective relationships with key stakeholders and

relevant sporting regulatory bodies to promote the highest levels of integrity and

professionalism in officiating

**Strategy**:

- Work closely with senior management to review and appropriately update the ITF’s Officiating

strategy. Specifically working with the Senior Director, Major Events & Strategy as well as key

stakeholders across the game to create a new long-term departme
