We have an opportunity for an experienced Team Manager or Head of Service who has the drive and ambition to continue the development of the West and Breckland Family Support Service.

We are seeking someone who can continue to deliver a high-quality service with an overwhelming focus on achieving effective intervention alongside families.

Do you have the skills and experience to manage a permanent workforce of committed and supportive managers in delivering the very best for children, young people and families in West and Breckland?

In this role, you will lead locality Family Support operational teams to bring about sustainable behavioural change, increasing the resilience of the family, improving outcomes and decreasing dependency on statutory services.

Your emphasis will be on service and staff development, performance management and effective quality delivery of Family Support, to time and budget, that supports strategic implementation of Council objectives, improvement and transformation of services, and successful outcomes for children.

You will be the senior manager lead for Family Support Teams in two localities which are accountable for a complex caseload of vulnerable children, young people and families to provide targeted support and challenge as part of an integrated approach to prevent family problems from escalating.

You will work closely in partnership with Social Work, Education and non-statutory bodies in order to:

- retain or return children to universal provision
- prevent any escalation of need requiring statutory social care services
- ensures smooth transitions up or down the care pathway

To ensure children and young people are protected in line with the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and be the Family Support Senior manager representation on LSCB’s where required.

Be a member of the extended leadership team for Children’s Services contributing to the system wide development of services to children and their families.
