This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, skilled and experienced individual to be part of a small but dynamic training team within Learning and Development that will facilitate and deliver the continuing education and development of internationally educated nurses (IEN) to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge to complete the NMC Test of Competence (part2).

We are looking to recruit a part-time Band 6 for a 12-month secondment, who will proactively support the current post holder in training, preparing and supporting the newly arriving internationally educated nurses to complete the NMC Test of Competence, Part 2. You will work in partnership with the current post holder and the rest of the international recruitment team in developing, adapting, and delivering the training program to ensure that the IEN will acquire the professional standards essential for NMC registration including OSCE boot camp and training programme. You will be working closely with the clinical areas, providing training support to the IEN mentor and supervision to the IEN forming working relationships with the wider service leads and teams in the organisation.

We are looking to recruit two people at 15 hours per week each - this role will require cross location working in BNSSG

Ensure effective communication within the team including manager

Effectively maintain teamwork and ensure that that all team members are working well together and flexibly to provide a successful Objective Structured Clinical Examination, (OSCE), training program

To contribute to a learning environment in which effective practice is fostered, implemented, evaluated, and disseminated.

Engage in evaluation and quality assurance activities as required and assist in audit activities and reports as requested.

To update the database of IEN mentors and clinical base

To undertake any training required to maintain own competency including mandatory training, and ensuring own Revalidation is maintained in line with NMC requirements.

To be involved in IEN recruitment interviews if requested.

To plan, develop and effectively deliver a structured education program to prepare the IEN’s for their OSCE in line with the latest NMC OSCE guidance.
