North Cumbria Integrated Care are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sonographer to join our expanding, friendly team.

North Cumbria Integrated care comprises of two main hospital sites, the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital Whitehaven, with two smaller satellite sites. We are currently recruiting due to the development of a new Community Diagnostic Hub which will be based in Workington. The Sonographer will be required to work within a team of Sonographers, Radiologists, and clerical staff and their base will be split between the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven and the Community Diagnostic Hub, Workington. There will also be the possibility of working at other hospital sites when required. There will be requirement for weekend working on a rotational basis and extended day cover from 8am
- 8pm.

There will be a requirement to train student sonographer’s and other medical staff so a passion for teaching would be an advantage. You will need to be able to work independently, demonstrating a high level of competence and will need to have excellent communication skills.
