Payroll and Pensions Officer

**Job Title**: Payroll and Pensions Officer**Location**: Teesside**Salary/Package**: £19,000 - £21,700 plus 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, competitive pension **Hours**: Part Time
- Monday to Friday 09:30am - 14:30pm 25hrs per week**Type**: Permanent
Imperial Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for one of our key clients based in Middlesbrough who are looking to appoint a Payroll and Pensions Officer on a part time basis.
**Duties**:
- Process the monthly payrolls and support with pension scheme administration.
- Liaise with key stakeholders such as the Human Resources department, the Finance department and line managers to ensure resolution of pay queries or processing issues.
- Ensure starters, leavers, temporary and statutory payments, and all other changes to standing data within the payroll system is completed in a timely manner.
- Process staff benefits including but not limited to childcare vouchers, travel to work schemes, union fees and health benefits.
- Support with the production of monthly BACs transmission files for payroll, pensions, and all associated third-party payments accurately and to the specified deadlines, including creditors statement.
- Support with the production of monthly reconciliation reports for Finance.
- Complete the pension administration, including notification of starters, leavers, changes, monthly contribution upload, opt in and opt out. Ensure communication to the relevant pension provider is accurate and in accordance with the scheme rules.
- Ensure professional employee relations are maintained at all times.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and identify opportunities for professional development.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in payroll and pension scheme administration.
- Experience of dealing with complex payrolls
- Payroll related qualification, eg CIPP Level 3 or equivalent.
