The University of Manchester has a vacancy for a Research Coordinator to play an important role in supporting the research activities taking place at the Colgate-Palmolive Dental Health Unit, specifically in the field of Public Health Dentistry.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and capable individual with an interest in and experience of applied health research. The postholder will work with members of the Unit and University staff to coordinate and undertake research studies with a focus on improving oral health across global populations, advancing oral care by developing new methods and research capabilities, and the discovery and translation of knowledge to improve best practice, clinical care, and oral health policy. The successful appointee will have excellent communication and organisation skills, and experience of working with research datasets. A clinical background in oral health (e.g. BDS, BSc. Dental Hygiene and Therapy or equivalent) is essential; Previous experience in the coordination and support of research studies is desirable.

The Colgate-Palmolive Dental Health Unit is a leading centre for oral health research based at The University of Manchester. Established over 50 years ago in partnership with the Colgate-Palmolive Company, the Unit continues to advance oral health through innovative, multidisciplinary research streams. The post holder will be based at the Dental Health Unit, The University of Manchester, and will be responsible to the Co-Directors, with direct Line Management by the Trials Manager. Some travel may be required with this role, and therefore independent means of travel is essential.
