We have a unique opportunity for a Head of Technology to join us at Lore Group The Head of Technology role is accountable for implementation of IT change initiatives and operational delivery of IT services across the hotel business (with properties in the UK, Europe, and the USA) whilst working collaboratively with the group’s Information Technology standards organisation Blinx.

The role will drive & implement innovative IT solutions that help Lore Group push boundaries within the hospitality industry by driving continuous digital excellence and innovation across the hotel locations which Lore Group operates within. A key focus of the role will be on simplification, operational effectiveness, enhancing the guest journey whilst driving profitability & protecting the business against cyber threats.

The position is based at one hotel, but it is expected that the Head of Technology will split their time accordingly at the other locations the role oversees and at the Groups office to ensure maximum support is given to the hotels which this role supports. Due to the nature of the role, travel will be required. As Head of Technology, your key responsibilities will include;
- To fulfil the commitment to the CIO technology roadmap
- Implement information technology projects through effective coordination with Regional IT Directors and Blinx Technology as Design Authority (for services and solutions), to standardise and improve technology in every aspect of the business.
- Complete the integration initiative for the delivery of standard IT services through Blinx Technology (including M365)
- Work with the senior Hotel & Lore Hub leadership team and all stakeholders to provide robust IT services to the hotel business
- To build effective relationships with operations, marketing, finance, and other departments across each region, inc. working closely with Lore Hub Directors
- Meet frequently with on property leaders to ensure alignment, consistency, and effective communication in line with the group’s goals and budgets
- Determine and document the key limitations of technology usage across each hotel and the group and provide solutions to improve operational effectiveness, aligning to group standards
- Manage, mentor, and provide IT leadership to London IT team members and work closely at peer level with Regional IT Directors by taking the lead on IT strategy and decisions
- Responsible for delivering agreed IT Capex projects within budget and time across the group
- Be the escalation point for the Regional IT Directors for technical and non-technical issues across Lore Group as appropriate
- Define and update technology operating model to expand, run and maintain the target technology state to integrate with the Blinx Technology service model
- Work as part of the Blinx leadership team to integrate Lore’s technical decisions into assurance process, e.g., technical control boards, technical peer reviews, cyber security assurance processes etc.
- Adept at managing multiple competing priorities and refocusing time and resources most appropriately at a group level
- Extensive experience in Information Technology, preferably in the countries in which the group hotels operate
- Proven experience of pre-opening / hotel openings with previous hospitality experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience in similar role as an IT Director or Head of IT
- Preferred Experience & knowledge of: Opera PMS | Micros & Symphony POS
- Commercial acumen to assess situations and determine which path makes the most sense for the business
- A natural communicator with visible energy and passion for bringing stakeholders along the journey of change, being able to explain the ‘why’ and ‘how’
- Self-aware and skilled at managing impact on others via effective stakeholder and project management attributes
