The Cancer services is welcoming a Consultant in Medical Oncology to provide outstanding inpatient and outpatient Oncology services across our acute hospital sites in Peterborough and Huntingdon. The role will be based at Peterborough City Hospital.

You will provide Systemic Anti-Cancer treatment for patients with breast UGI & CUP. In collaboration with other Oncologists, you will deliver a comprehensive Oncology Service including inpatient care and outpatient referrals and treatment.

You will work alongside a specialist team of 6 clinical oncologist consultants, 4 medical oncologist consultants, 1 palliative care physician, and 6 haematologists. The multidisciplinary team includes clinical nurse specialists, specialist palliative care and community Macmillan nurses.

You will be supported and encouraged in continuing your professional development and take part in research programmes. Our trust has an active research programme and is nationally recognised for its breast cancer trials. You would be expected to continue promoting Clinical Trial development and recruitment. You will take a lead in clinical trials related to Breast, UGI/CUP and assume local PI responsibilities for clinical trials in Breast, UGI/CUP.
