Bank Healthcare Assistant at Events/festivals

**THIS IS A BANK HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT (HCA) POSITION TO SUPPORT MEDICAL PROVISIONS AT LARGE FESTIVALS AND EVENTS. PLEASE GET IN CONTACT FOR MORE INFORMATION. THIS IS AN IDEAL POSITION FOR THOSE WITH AN A&E/ED BACKGROUND.**
**Primary Responsibilities**: (this list is not exhausive, please contact HR for a full Job Description and Person Specification)
- Utilising manual handling equipment to safely move patient when required
- Completing and documenting physiological observations
- Assisting registered healthcare professionals in the monitoring and management of patients treatment and care
- Ensure that emergency vehicles are clean and appropriately stocked and refuel them as required.
- Complete appropriate and clear documentation relating to patients attended and work completed with IMAS policies and protocols.
- Liaise with nursing staff to monitor levels of stock and escalate to management where necessary
- Prepare bed spaces for new patients at treatment centres/field hospitals and orientate patients and their relatives and carers and demonstrate bedside facilities
- Participate in discussions about patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Manage own time effectively, ensure good time keeping in relation to shift commencement and breaks
- Be flexible in attitude to meet the constantly changing nature of care and service delivery to support clients and commissioners
- Exercise high levels of courtesy and communication with patients and the public to ensure that clear information is conveyed, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Clean and maintain proper care of any equipment, vehicles and uniform provided by the organisation in accordance with current infection control procedures
Due to the nature of work undertaken by Inova Medical Ambulance Service, this post is exempt from the provision (42) of the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 (Exemptions) order 1975.

**Salary**: £11.44-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
