We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance team at our Head Office in **Eastleigh, Hampshire.**

**The Accounts Payable Supervisor Opportunity**

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and processing supplier payments as well as ensuring timely and accurate processing of internal payments requests. You will also manage two Accounts Payable Specialists/Payment Specialists therefore previous experience in managing a small team would be advantageous.

**Role Responsibilities will include**:

- Manage and motivate the Accounts Payable Specialists/Payments Specialists to ensure set KPI’s are achieved;
- Prepare and process supplier payments as well as ensuring timely and accurate processing of internal payment requests;
- Assist the Accounts Payable Manager/ Group Procurement Manager to set up new group purchasing procedures;
- Ensure all payment requests/ expense claims and are checked and prepared;
- Ensure all supporting documentation is digitally recorded;
- Ensure all requests are authorised within the approval lines;
- Bank reconciliation.

**About You**:

- Supervisory experience within finance would be desirable but not essential
- Accounts Payable experience dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
- The capacity to act independently and to deadlines
- Accuracy and a great eye for detail are crucial, as are excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An advanced level of understanding and using Excel and strong IT abilities
