**The team**
ITV Creative is the in-house agency servicing ITV to promote its own content. We deliver 1,000s of campaigns every year spanning multiple media touchpoints, including CRM, performance marketing and social.
It’s a year of transformation for ITV with the recent launch of ITVX - no longer are we just a broadcaster, but a streaming platform to rival the likes of Netflix, Amazon and BBC iPlayer. In order to deliver against our ambitions for ITVX, we’re shifting our focus in marketing to be more viewer led vs content led.
To make us a credible creative agency fit for the future, there is a need to look at the overall structure of ITV Creative and the roles within it.
**The role**
Great creative work always comes from a strong strategy, and so there is a need to bolster our strategic thinking within the department.
We currently have strong process and campaign management, a solutions focussed and ‘can do’ production team, and in-house post production at our fingertips.
The Head of Creative Strategy is a new role that will sit on the Creative Leadership team alongside the ECD (once appointed), Head of Campaign Management, Head of Production and Head of Post Production. As this is a new role, there will be opportunity to build the team (we currently have senior freelance support and longer term x2 positions for mid weight strategists available to fill).
- Shape how strategy works within ITV Creative
- ITVs marketing output comes from ITV Creative as well as Uncommon, but currently there isn’t anything in place to ensure all work hangs together - working with the ECD define what that thread could be, so that all future output feels as though it comes from the one brand.
- Alongside ECD and the rest of the Creative Leadership team, how can we make ITV have more presence within culture beyond just the programming it makes? What are moments throughout the year we can plan for and react to?
- Ensuring our work is strategically rigorous and inspiring to ensure we deliver against our creative ambitions
- Build an engaged and ambitious team that can help to deliver brilliant work for the ITV brand and its partners
- Become a senior voice alongside your peers within the Creative Leadership Team - driving innovation, your vision and a team that are better than the sum of its parts.
- As brand guardians, we want everything we put out in the world to strengthen the ITV brand. Building meaningful and robust relationships within ITV (Marketing, Media, Commissioning, Product) etc will help enable us to do that.
**Skills you’ll need **(minimum criteria)
- Significant Planning or strategy experience from a creative agency (ideally having previously worked in a Planning / Strategy Director at an agency)
- Examples of campaigns that have been generated and delivered against set KPIs and proved to work effectively
- Good relationship building/management skills
- Proven ability to drive change/transformation
- Work in office at least 2 days a week (Mondays and Wednesdays are ITV Creative in office days).
