You will join us on a** full time, permanent basis**and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of** £58,985 to £64,327 per annum.**

**The Deputy Head of Finance role**:
As our **Deputy Head of Finance,** you will operate to strict deadlines and work closely with the Deputy Head of Finance - Financial Accounting and the Head of Finance to deliver outstanding support to stakeholders.

You will lead on budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, insurance and finance business partnering for the Group.

**Key Responsibilities of our Deputy Head of Finance**:

- Being responsible for the preparation of the Group annual budget and reforecasts including reports and papers to draft stage, for review and sign off by the Chief Financial Officer
- Taking responsibility for the preparation of detailed and accurate cashflow forecasting for the Group including treasury management services
- Leading on the development and implementation of a Finance Business Partner function supporting budget holders and local leadership teams across the Group
- Reviewing and supporting the work of Finance Business Partners across the Group in relation to development of financial bids, tenders and proposals
- Being responsible for the coordination and completion of forms and returns to government and its agencies including the CFFR and other regular financial monitoring returns
- Leading on the coordination of the capital approvals process across the Group, working closely with the capital budget holder (the CFO) on the annual capital investment panel process, be part of the team reviewing ongoing capital bids and maintaining asystem of tracking and monitoring capital spend across the Group
- Line managing the Finance Business Partner roles within the Finance team structure
- Supporting budget holders by the monitoring of specific funds with funding bodies and assisting in the completion of any grant funding claims
- Participating in cross-College activities including the College Management Team and the annual self-assessment process
- Participating in the updating of Finance owned policies and procedures as and when updates are required

**Our ideal Deputy Head of Finance should have the below skills and experience**:

- A recognised CCAB or ACMA qualification
- Level 4 qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with complex financial systems
- Experience producing and analysing data and management information reports for senior managers and budget holders
- Knowledge of large scale finance systems
- The ability to reconcile different priorities and achieving co-operation
- The ability to travel between sites
