We are looking for an experienced, supportive practitioner to join the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Clinical Lead.

We are a dynamic, growing and welcoming team where there’s an opportunity to significantly impact on the well-being of women in the perinatal period and their families.

The post holder will be expected to provide robust clinical support to the team and enable them to develop their own clinical skills in a nurturing environment. You will take responsibility for supporting the Team Manager in monitoring the team's access rates and in implementing service developments that ensure quality service delivery.

Applicants should have post registration clinical experience of working with women in the perinatal period with mental ill health and be able to demonstrate the appropriate clinical and interpersonal skills needed to be an inspiring and trusted Clinical Lead.

The Perinatal Team cover the entire CWP patch and operate as three "sub teams" in Wirral, Cheshire West and Cheshire East. This post is specifically to cover the Cheshire East sub-team which has a base at Beech House, Macclesfield. However, there will be a requirement to also be present at times in our hub base in Ellesmere Port and to have the ability to travel across the patch when service need requires this.

Excellent communication, report writing and assessment skills are essential for this post.

We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioners, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality and evidence based care.

Applicants should have sound working knowledge of a spectrum of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.

Access to transport for work purposes is essential.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
