The post is responsible for the supervision of the C&I & C&D Transfer Station operations. Within all areas, manage plant & equipment and associated staff to ensure Health and Safety standards and compliance obligations are upheld.

**Key responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Control the day-to-day operations and staff in conjunction with the manager
- Understand the key drivers to improving performance at the site. Work with the manager to implement and manage the site KPIs to ensure maximum performance
- Ensure all plant and equipment is operated and maintained correctly and safely, supervise operators and ensure R+M and Health and Safety records are maintained
- Work with the manager to ensure transport requirements for the site are delivered efficiently and effectively
- Work with the Manager on training requirements
- Ensure the site is clean and tidy and operations are carried out with due regard to the safety of all employees and contractors who may be affected by the operation. Ensure damage to plant, equipment and property is minimised and where it does occur is reported appropriately.
- Ensure correct recycling methods are carried out to maximise recycling and minimise residues (for landfilling).
- Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, ordering of agency when required
- Assist with the administrative management of staff and the site
- Carry out other duties as reasonably directed by the Manager

Essential requirements:
Experience in Transfer Station & Commercial/Trade Waste Operations
- plant operation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15.00 per hour
