**The Role**:
As the UX Design Owner, you will work closely with Product Owners to design the best user experience based on insight, develop detailed mobile-first customer prototypes, write requirements and acceptance criteria, and support the change of customer journeys throughout.

You will support the business by designing, prototyping, researching, and owning the development of significantly improved UX / customer journey designs for consumer finance products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop working prototypes to bring requirements to life, to test and improve through customer research
- Work closely with Product Owners (sometimes acting as Product Owner) and the wider business to support other areas including:
- Customer experience design- Research & benchmarking- Backlog development, refinement & prioritisation- User acceptance testing as needed- Ensure that proposed design changes comply with Legal, Regulatory and Conduct requirements including accessibility

**Skills & Attributes**:

- Strong UX and prototyping skills using mainstream software (ideally with a focus on digital self-service initiatives and mobile apps)
- Experience of working in Agile teams and of supporting Product Owners or acting as Product Owner (including writing user stories, acceptance criteria and user acceptance testing)
- Customer centric approach
- Commercial awareness
- Application of best practice digital development techniques (a good understanding of design for accessibility is an advantage)
- Benchmarking Customer research
- Customer journey mapping
- Effective governance and Stakeholder management
- UX and functionality testing - to ensure the solution meets our customer and business requirements
