We are looking for a Senior Network Technician to join our Maintenance team based in Northern Ireland.

**What will you be doing day to day?**

You will be involved in the maintenance and repair of installations and equipment of various sizes and operating pressures in hazardous and non-hazardous areas within SGN’s Gas Network.

You will be required to carry out on-site inspections, post maintenance audits, fault finding and repair of Electrical and Instrumentation systems, testing and commissioning of minor project works, ensuring all tasks involving electrical and instrumentationsystems and equipment are carried out in accordance with DSEAR and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Management of a small number of personnel, including mentoring and development.

Participation in an operational standby rota, for which you will receive appropriate renumeration.

**What you’ll need**

You will have completed a recognised Instrument Apprenticeship, or NVQ level 3 (or above) in electrical / electronic / instrumentation engineering.

You will be highly motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work. You will have good leadership, organisational, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills and be able to act on your own initiative.

The applicant will ideally have a good understanding of offtake, pressure reduction sites (PRS), BIO processes, high accuracy FISCAL / FWACV Gas metering systems and Odorant Injection Systems.

You will be hardworking, reliable, practical and display good leadership skills.

You will be an effective communicator at all levels and ideally you will have supervisory and mentoring experience.

You must have a full valid driving licence as this role will involve travel throughout Northern Ireland and on occasions across Scotland.
