**About the role**

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Site Operations, in this role you will have managerial responsibilities for the operational performance and running of our dark store grocery sites. This includes overseeing receiving and outbound logistics, staffing, growth, policy and procedure creation, food safety compliance, and inventory management. Your role will involve improving processes to enhance consumer and staff experiences, while maintaining efficiency, reducing costs, and improving sustainability. You will also be an important member of the site operations senior leadership team, contributing to the setting of strategy and long-term forecasting and budgeting. Our HQ is based in London and we offer hybrid working. This role will require travel to our HQ and to our different HOP sites.

**What you'll be doing**
- Manage the performance of Deliveroo Hop Dark Store Grocery sites across core functions such as receiving, outbound, inventory management, and site operations.
- Develop and enhance standardised processes and systems across all sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead operational process improvements, ensuring the implementation of best practices.
- Deliver the best processes to ensure the highest standards of customer and employee experience and engagement.
- Manage food safety requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable experience in managing multi-site branded operations.
- Experience in managing a large profit and loss (P&L).
- Strong experience in FMCG/food retail logistics environments..
- Strong operational and compliance disciplines, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
- Experience with delivery platforms is a benefit but not essential.
- Experience delivering in large, cross-functional initiatives.
- Understanding of continuous improvement techniques.
- Manage complex projects and competing priorities simultaneously..
- Experience in managing teams.
- Work collaboratively with a team.
