**Contract type**: Temporary 3-6-months+ (job assignments are often, extended by clients on a longer-term basis).

Start Time: 8:30 AM

End Time: 16:30 PM

PAYE Rate: £15.35 ph (including 12.07% holiday pay)

Role purpose and role dimensions: Overview of the job Contribute to Childrens Centre core offer by achieving Development Matters outcomes and objectives aligned with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, and Redbridge Councils strategies and action plans relevant to Early Years. Work collaboratively with the Childrens Centres and Early Years Play and Development (EYPaD) Centre Teams to deliver high-quality services and improve outcomes for children and families. Facilitate groups for families with children under 5 years based on Development Matters and EYFS framework. Identify families who may require additional support, provide information about local services and / or sign-post or refer to Children’s Centres. Offer parents advice and guidance to optimise their visit and promote home learning in line with Childrens Centres core offer.

**Qualifications**

‐ Working in a fast paced customer focussed environment

‐ Working in partnership with parents.

‐ You will have experience of planning work activities within general professional guidelines and/or Council’s policies

‐ Work with adults/parents/carers

‐ The equivalent of a minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, (including Maths and English).

‐ You will hold a relevant professional qualification, degree or equivalent specialist qualification.

‐ NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in early years education and/or childcare

‐ You will have good relationship building skills, which may involve dealing with emotive situations.

‐ You will be able to carry out risk assessments

‐ You will have experience of working in an environment related to the service area or within a similar role

‐ You must be able to deal with angry and disappointed members of the public

‐ Working as part of a team and or on a 1:1 basis lone-working

‐ Working Within Legislation, Policy And Procedures

‐ Working Under Pressure and Meeting Deadline

‐ You will have good communication skills

‐ NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in early years education and/or childcare

‐ Working with children with special/additional needs

‐ Working with children aged 0-3 years

‐ You will have a relevant qualification at degree level or equivalent professional qualification
