**Job Title: Support Worker for Children with Challenging Behaviour**

**About Us**:
Prestige Home Care 24/7 is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children with challenging behaviour, ensuring their well-being and development. We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Support Workers to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and group support to children with challenging behaviour in a residential or community setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene routines, and mealtime support.

**Behavioural Support**:

- Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the care team and relevant professionals.
- Monitor and document behavioral patterns and progress, adjusting interventions as needed.

**Individualised Care Planning**:

- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans for each child.
- Work closely with care coordinators and other professionals to ensure holistic and person-centred care.

**Crisis Intervention**:

- Respond to and manage crisis situations effectively, prioritising the safety and well-being of the children.
- Follow established protocols for crisis intervention and de-escalation.

**Emotional Support**:

- Build trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes the social and emotional development of each child.

**Communication and Collaboration**:

- Maintain open communication with care team members, therapists, educators, and other stakeholders.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.

**Educational Support**:

- Support children in their educational activities, both at home and school.
- Collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to address individual learning needs.

**Recreational Activities**:

- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate recreational and leisure activities to enhance the children's quality of life.
- Encourage socialisation and community engagement.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour in a care or educational setting.
- Relevant qualification in social work, child care, psychology, or a related field.
- Understanding of behavioural management techniques and positive behaviour support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the well-being of children/ young people.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- **DBS - ALREADY OBTAINED AND ON UPDATE SYSTEM ENCHANCED ADULTS AND CHILDREN**

**How to Apply**:
**Salary**: £13.50-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
