**Role Overview**

As a Supply Chain Merchandiser, you will ensure all aspects of the production process are adhered to, internally and externally, in line with relevant key stages of the critical path. Ensuring that product is available to maintain agreed customer service levels, in line with required launch dates and customer requirements.

**Responsibilities**

**Purchasing (Raw material Suppliers)**
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers
- Issue seasonal forecasts to all nominated suppliers
- Negotiate costs/surcharges and delivery dates when necessary

**Production**
- Place and manage seasonal and core purchase orders for the group through to receipt in the UK and USA distribution centres
- Collate and update work in progress reports on a weekly basis
- Respond and address daily queries from factories in a timely manner
- Collate main material garment usages from factories
- Monitor surcharges from factories, address and resolve surcharges when required
- Place production priorities with factories based on availability/required dates.
- Advise ship modes for purchase orders based on customer requirements.
- Manage brand packaging including, sourcing, cost negotiation, monitor deliveries and stock levels
- Calculate standard costs for all fashion ranges and review and update core standard costs seasonally.
- Monitor garment factory ethical compliance status
- Must be flexible to travel to the Far East if required

**Critical Path**
- Attend Weekly critical path meetings with design team and ensure all CP milestones are being met in order to achieve on time delivery.
- Escalate exceptions in the weekly critical path exception meeting

**Communication**
- Work with the design team to find solutions to any raw material/production issues
- Highlight potential problems to management providing information and advice to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Work closely with the Panache China team to directly address issues with factories and Far East suppliers
- Liaise with Demand Planner to communicate shipment shortages/issues, production priorities and core availability information
- Liaise with the warehouse to advise any shipment delays/problems with shipments
- Communicate salesman sample issues/delays to product team
- Work with the accounts department to resolve any factory invoice/credit/debit note queries

**Internal Systems**
- Set up supplier information including factory costs, landed cost details and lead times on ERP system (S21) ensuring information is kept up to date
- Place purchase orders on system (S21) ensuring information is entered accurately and kept up to date
- Set up new factories/brands/range names/colours/product types in PLM system (Vision) and push through to (S21)
- Accurately update and maintain PLM system (Vision) for appropriate tasks.
- Record all range names and colour codes used so that duplication is avoided for future ranges
- Advise Sales Support of all new styles sent through and advise season/ core/ fashion effective date
- Set up any customer exclusives and generate barcodes for them to raise orders

**Cover Support**
- Write critical path templates based on product type and factory and assign correct critical path to all styles with agreed delivery date
- Manage critical path, running weekly meetings with design team and critical path exceptions meetings with management team
- To be able to cover all Supply Chain tasks for the Contract side of the business

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in merchandising, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally within the fashion or retail industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
