Yard Sales Person

**The Role**

We have a vacancy for a full time Yard Sales Person at our** Ilfracombe **Branch to handle and maintain yard stocks, load and unload both customer, supplier and company delivery vehicles.

**Duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Maintaining the highest possible level of customer service in order to maximise sales and margin.
- Using the correct picking, loading and advice documentation to fulfil customer orders for delivery.
- Ensuring delivery vehicles are properly loaded.
- Dealing with the receipt of suppliers deliveries and the associated documentation.
- Serving customers, advising on stock, availability and product ranges.
- Ensuring the premises are kept to a high standard to comply with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and tidy yard and working area.
- All this under the authority of the Branch Manager.

**The Requirements**
- Builders merchants experience advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all level
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
- Strong team player who works as part of a team and independently
- Forklift license preferable - although training can be provided

***The Hours**
- Full time 42.5 hours average: Monday to Friday : 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Alternate Saturday Mornings: 8:00am - 12:00pm.
