Kennedys is looking for a Costs Draftsperson to join the Costs team in the Sheffield or Manchester office.

**Team**

Kennedys' Costs Team work with insurers, self-insured corporates, local authorities and government departments, providing a full range of costs solutions to the firm's clients. They handle everything from technical fixed costs disputes, motor and disease claims through to high value and complex personal injury, immigration, professional indemnity, insurance coverage and arbitration matters.

**Clients**

The team acts for a wide variety of clients ranging from large composite insurers to local authorities and large corporate self-insured.

**Cases**

The team acts for the Liability Defence, Insurance and Healthcare division providing costs advice on negotiating, budgeting and recovery of personal injury and general costs insurance matters. The team are often instructed on complex and high profile cases.

**Required experience**
- 1-2+ years' experience in costs work gained in a claimant or defendant environment
- A good attention to detail and the ability to deal with a varied caseload
- Legal experience gained within either a Claimant or Defendant environment
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Experience of drafting Points of Dispute and Replies, negotiating precedent H budgets
- Experience of drafting electronic bills of costs and using Costsmaster software
