Assistant Merchandiser

ABOUT THE JOB

TUI Group is recruiting an Assistant Merchandiser to join the Inflight Supply Chain team within Customer, Cabin, and Inflight Services, reporting to the Forecast & Merchandising Manager.

The Assistant Merchandiser is a crucial role within our operation, this can include supporting our customer experience teams to supporting our commercial team with their revenue targets. The focus will be to develop, manage and improve RPP and MPP from all onboard retail activity by optimising the aircraft galley space available. Conducting full analysis to deliver data driven recommendations and efficiencies.

**This role can be based in Luton, Rijswijk or Brussels and offers flexible virtual working arrangements.**

**Our offices where this role can be based are; Luton, Rijswijk and Brussels but TUI believes that work is something you do, not somewhere you go. **As Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for**:
Responsible for managing analytics to deliver effective utilisation of aircraft gally space to

Manage operational change
- Produce relevant bar packing plans, loading standards and communicate in an effective and timely manner to support practical delivery with the IFSC Team.

Manage the Bar packing functions within the back-office systems.

Advise and liaise with stakeholders on promotional activity loading efficiencies.

Work closely with Forecast and Supply Chain Planners to maintain the flow of products to meet the fluctuations in demand surrounding Promotions, Offers and mid-season bar changes.

ABOUT YOU

Commercially aware with previous experience of merchandising and or a planning role

Excellent numerical and analytical ability with attention to detail and great Excel and Microsoft skills

Natural problem solver with efficient and methodical approach to work

Good commercial acumen and sound judgement

Excellent attention to detail, organised and determined to succeed.

Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Flexibility to travel throughout Europe on a regular basis.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Ability to speak another language (French, Dutch or German) would be advantageous.

Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
