**Job Purpose**

To administer and motivate the Youth fellowship Department in a manner that will result in growth, maturity and stability of the men of the church. Major focus will be placed on organizing Spiritual, Social, and youth oriented programs for the young people of the church. In focusing upon these, you will accomplish the main task of the youth’s Fellowship department which is to build leaders that God can use for his kingdom**.**

**JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES**:
Job Role: Youth Pastor/Minster Accountable to: The Lead Pastor-in-Charge

Job description: 1. Co-ordinating the youth ministry to guide our growing number of youth/young adults and mentor them in the Christian faith as directed by the lead pastor-in-charge.

2. Organise Christian religious based events and programmes to teach and mobilise young adults in the church in developing their Christian faiths.

3. Support in driving the growth and expansion of the Church’s activities through mobilising and encouraging the teenagers and young adults in church activities.

4 Contribute to the growth and wellbeing of the youths/young adult church members through organising career seminars and other educational activities for the youths and young adults.

5. Teach the word of God in church services as scheduled in accordance with the biblical beliefs and teachings of the Restoration Royal Mega Church.

6. Prepare and deliver sermons and other knowledge sharing sessions whenever required.

7. Provide daily Christian advice, general counselling, and prayers for young members of the church and community.

8. Assist the Lead Pastor-in-Charge in the overall administration of the church and other specific assignments as directed.

9. Hold regular meetings with the board of trustees of the church and report all the day to day activities related with the management of the church to the Pastor in charge. 1

10. Support in Officiating at marriage blessing ceremonies, funeral services, baby christenings and other special services.

11. Support to Organise and administer Holy Communion.

12. The Youth Pastor will also attend and represent the organisation in International global youth conferences and events in various countries.

Person Specification:
Applicant must be experienced and a practising Christian minister with relevant experience of working with young adults within the Pentecostal Christian environment. Must Have good motivational and mentoring skills and willingness to work as part of a team Must Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high energy and a positive attitude. Knowledge and ability to communicate in one local Nigerian language is also desirable.

Duration of employment: Fixed Term (2 Years)

Working Hours: Full time (37.5h/w). Highly Flexible 5 days, this may include odd hours, Sundays, evenings and weekends

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION**

The minister must;
- Must have overseen youth ministry.
- Be knowledgeable as an ordained minister in the word of God and in the doctrines of The Restoration Royal Mega Church
- Have good computer skills in Microsoft office suit.
- Education at degree level in a course studied in the United Kingdom or Equivalent
- Experience leading and or working in a predominantly Black Afro-Caribbean and Asian Ethnicity church setting.

**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION**
- Demonstrate good organizational, planning, and communication skills (including listening skills)
- Have strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Keen interest in bridging the gap between the church and the young people in local community.
- Theological Training at Diploma or degree level.
- For those without formal qualification in Theology, they must demonstrate a willingness to undertake training as organised by the church.

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
