We are currently looking to recruit 2 Import / Export Supply Chain Coordinators to join our Supply Chain Team based at our Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17 5LN) site.

This is a new opportunity to be an integral part of an inspiring and dedicated team, supporting the wider Supply Chain function of a successful, international confectionery brand.

**Scope and Purpose of Role**:
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities relating to the import and export of products and the international transportation of goods.

You will be required to do so in a cost-efficient manner and meeting the timeliness requirements of our customers and internal stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Importing and Exporting**:

- Overseeing day to day operations of import and export and maintaining efficiency within the team
- Creating import and export instructions for live shipments
- Manage changes associated with upcoming changes from CHIEF to CDS (CDS Exports will come into effect September 2023). Import origins are worldwide including the EU, Brazil, US, Turkey and Asia
- Liaison with supply chain stakeholders to ensure timely provision of all information and documentation required for import and export clearances
- Working with internal departments to make sure all information is correct regarding Customs Compliance
- Liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure the process happens with regards to facilitating import and export shipments
- Support on Customs related projects as and when required
- Reconciliation of monthly data from HMRC with regards to Duty and VAT
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and key stakeholders
- Support on accreditations and compliance requirements
- Obtain evidence for export shipments and to make sure the export entry has been closed
- Regular internal audits of import and export entries, ensuring 100% compliance with customs regulation
- Prepare data so Customs can be completed without delay to the shipment / transport provider
- TSS customs declarations
- VAT exemptions in line with HMRC
- Have a good knowledge of EU and Global import and export procedures / requirements
- Understand shipping systems and documentation requirements (incoterms / CPC Procedures)

**Logistics**:

- Plan and execute the most efficient ways of transporting goods by sea freight or road freight
- Arranging routes, schedules, bookings and collections
- Booking cargo space with carriers
- Generation of supplier purchase orders and internal transfer requests to fulfil customer orders

**Customer Service and Communications**:

- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained
- Speaking to customers and their agents to ensure they are always aware of the status of their orders and shipments can be processed without delay
- Liaising with warehousing teams to make sure customer requirements are met and understood
- Advising stakeholders regarding shipments and bookings. Maintain ETAs in the ERP system and proactive communication of any significant changes

**General Support & Other**:

- To provide support for other team members in periods of absence or holiday
- To assist the wider supply team or to support with any other business need as required
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate master data within the ERP systems

**Person Specification**:

- Excellent attention to detail and a capable problem solver, able to make quick, effective decisions
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, being proactive and adaptable
- Experience in import, export, customs, logistics or freight forwarding preferrable
- Proficient in Microsoft office packages, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Customer Service / Supply Chain understanding
- Good communication and influencing skills. Using this to build good and lasting relationships with all key stakeholders including the customer service team
