Lead Volunteer Meals Coordinator

Reports to:
Volunteer Services Manager

Commitment level:
Thursdays 11:00am - 1:30pm

**Location**:
Stamford (office based)

Purpose of the Voluntary role:
Working in partnership with Second Helpings Evergreen volunteers deliver to people who are housebound, socially isolated, or vulnerable in Stamford and who would benefit from a nutritious meal and seeing a regular friendly face. The Volunteer Meals Coordinator is a key role that helps coordinate drivers, prepare the rota and clients and oversees admin of this vital service. This is an office based role on a Thursday to ensure everything is in place for the Friday for the meals deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
Help plan delivery routes and confirm which members are receiving the service

Coordinate drivers.

Liaise with Second Helpings and Evergreen reception to ensure the success of the service

Update records of delivery, general admin

Report any concerns to the Volunteer Services Manager or to the Delivery Service Lead Volunteer

Always work within Evergreen’s values and represent the charity in a professional and friendly manner

Key relationships:
Working with other Evergreen volunteers

Evergreen’s members who receive the service

Working with Members of Staff delivering the Trust’s ‘Paid for’ Services

Working alongside Second Helpings and other partnership organisations

Skills, Qualifications and experience required:
A friendly, kind, compassionate and caring manner

Able to work in a team in a professional and polite manner

Good Admin skills and telephone manner

Training and support required:
Safeguarding training

Availability of parking at work location:
There is parking available at Evergreen’s office.

Equipment:
All necessary equipment will be provided

Expenses:
Mileage can be paid if applicable
