Team Secretary

The Bridport Community Mental Health Team for Older Persons is looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiastic administrator to join them in the role of Team Secretary.
You will be joining a supportive and experienced team of administrators who work together to undertake the day to day admin duties to meet deadlines set and help manage workloads of the Community Mental Health Team. Given the nature of this service, some patients may contact us in distress, therefore we are looking for compassion, empathy with a calm and approachable manner. The right level of support will be offered by peers and the Administrative Team Leader.
As a Team Secretary you will need strong admin skills be an effective communicator and have excellent telephone and reception manner. You will need to be able to take and transcribe formal meeting minutes sot the ability to audio type is a must. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes is essential including Outlook, Word and Excel. You will be supporting the clinical and medical staff within the team as well as liaising with members of the public and a variety of professionals.
The Team Secretary role is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week which are worked Monday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
This role will be varied within a well-established and supportive team, where we have strong values about working in a patient centred manner.
The post holder will provide the administrative support to clinical and medical staff within the Community Mental Health Team, please refer to job description for full details. You will have strong communication skills and good attention to detail with the ability to cope with complex tasks whilst ensuring databases are kept up to date.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, previous administrative experience and a willingness to learn.
