**Clinical Lead for the Fracture Liaison Service Database (FLS-DB), Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme (FFFAP)**:

The Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme (FFFAP), of which the Fracture Liaison Service Database (FLS-DB) is one workstream, is a high profile national clinical audit programme that is commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) on behalf of NHS England and the Welsh Government.

FFFAP provides a source of national data, capturing information required by regulatory bodies and service commissioners, and also provides tools to support quality improvement and drive better patient outcomes.

The FLS-DB is a continuous national clinical audit of osteoporosis and secondary fracture prevention. The ongoing work is to consolidate and improve the collection, presentation and dissemination of secondary fracture prevention data on web-based technologies, responding to the changing clinical and related challenges of providing high quality care and secondary prevention; and using quality improvement to support local teams to improve osteoporosis treatment.

The FLS-DB Clinical Lead will work in partnership with the FFFAP senior clinical lead and FFFAP team to ensure that FFFAP’s healthcare improvement work is delivered in line with contractual obligations and within legislative frameworks, seeking to ensure maximum use of outputs to benefit patients. They will work collaboratively with the other clinical leads to ensure cohesion and effectiveness of the workstreams’ contributions to the overall programme and the FFFAP Patient and Carer Panel to incorporate the perspectives and experience of patients.
