**We are looking for a talented and experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team on a Fixed Term Contract.**
**Key information**:
- 4 days per week
- Tuesday to Friday working pattern
- Full time equivalent salary bracket £30-35k dependant on experience (reduced/pro rata for 4 days per week)
- Hybrid working (2 days per week in the Battersea office)
- Flexible working hours
- August start available
- Fixed term contract for an initial 9 month period

**Purpose**:
You will be based in our London team and have a firm reporting line into the THOMAS SABO Head of HR UK & Ireland.
The role focuses on delivering excellent service to our UK & Ireland people, driving improvements across all people practices, communication and employee engagement.
You will be a pro at engaging with people, providing empathetic and professional advice to our people across all levels. You won’t be phased by administrative tasks or writing/reviewing documents; and you will embrace all aspects of HR with utmost professionalism and sincerity.
You will take great pride in being a brand ambassador at all times, further enhancing our brand image and engaging with our teams. Strong and accurate writing skills are essential.
This is varied and fast-paced role, which requires accuracy, energy and outstanding communication skills. A key requirement of the position is to have the ability to solve problems, effectively communicate and make things happen. You will need to be highly organised, an excellent communicator and love all things HR.
**Core responsibilities**:
- Provide sound and commercial first line advice on employee relations and recruitment in line with Company HR policies and procedures and current legislation
- Partner with the Head of Retail, Cluster Managers, and Department/Store Managers across the business to understand their HR needs and requirements, to enable the provision of a proactive HR service
- Support with and conduct where necessary, disciplinary hearings and related formal investigations
- Work closely with the Head of HR to review and update existing HR policies and procedures and communicate new policies where necessary
- Support the Head of HR and drive HR projects, including, employee engagement and wellbeing activities
- Support with the planning, delivery and review of all training, in close partnership with the Head of HR and the training department in Germany
- Promote positive performance management and influence Managers to drive any improvement in capability
- Build relationships with recruitment agencies to source the best talent for the brand where needed
- Partner with Store Managers to establish their recruitment needs and requirements, to enable the provision of a proactive HR service
- Support during the interview process for all Head Office and some retail management roles
- Handle long term absence cases and advise Managers on appropriate next steps
- Maintain accurate records of all ER activity and report on key HR issues
- Work with the Head of HR to analyse Indeed and Glassdoor reviews
- Send out and follow up on exit surveys, making recommendations to Managers
- Regular travel to our retail stores as required for HR store visits
- Support the recruitment process from vacancy sign off to advertising for all retail roles in the absence of the HR & Payroll Administrator
- Support with all HR administration, issuing contracts, letters; maintaining an accurate HR system and electronic filing system - in the absence on the HR & Payroll Administrator and during peak times
- In collaboration with the Head of HR, support the development of the HR & Payroll Administrator
**Additional responsibilities**:
- Attend and actively contribute at team/business meetings
- Ensure all HR knowledge is kept up to date and use this knowledge to provide insight to the HR team and managers
- Attend seminars/webinars for employment law and HR topics, sharing key learnings

**Skills/Knowledge**:
- HR Advisor experience within a retail environment
- A CIPD qualification or equivalent education
- Proven and wide-ranging experience with employee relations and day to day HR practices
- Good and up to date knowledge of employment law
- Experience with employee relations matters, grievance and disciplinary procedures
