Our local authority client has a 3-month contract vacancy (with the possibility of extension) for the role of a CSC RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OFFICER, details as follows

**Job Purpose**
- As the Recruitment and Training Officer in the Customer Service Center you will be responsible and lead the end to end recruitment process and work closely with the CSC management team and team leaders to select, assess and interview applicants for a rangeof different roles in the CSC.
- To provide a comprehensive training cycle to both new starters and the upskilling of existing staff and is an integral part of a continuous improvement team within the CSC. You will create and deliver training programmes for new and existing members ofthe CSC to improve their knowledge and skills in dealing with a wide range of customer enquiries.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the recruitment, selection and interview process for the CSC using latest technology approaches.
- Design and deliver Induction training to all new customer service advisors, team supervisors and team leaders.
- Support team leaders to develop their people skills, enhancing their ability to coach and motivate their teams.
- To lead on the management and effective delivery of training using up-to-date methods and in the development of individuals and teams within the Customer Service Centre, enabling individuals and teams to achieve the level of quality, productivity and serviceknowledge required to meet business needs.
- To plan, design, deliver and evaluate relevant training programmes and online courses in soft customer service skills and specific technical skills.
- Liaise with Human Resources and external providers (as required) to help develop the training materials in line with the corporate strategy.

**Essential Requirements**
- Must have recruitment experience but also training experience if possible.
- A formal qualification in customer services management and / or coaching and training e.g. Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 2 or above in Leadership and Management or a relevant Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification.Or Substantial relevant experience within the scope of the job description.
- Experience and knowledge of working in a customer service environment.
- Proven experience as a coach and mentor.
- Experience of 1:1, and team coaching.
- Experience of writing, recording and maintaining training records and learning and development plans - e.g. skills matrix, personal development plans, team and individual training plans etc.
- Proven experience of delivering successful training programmes in a customer service centre environment.
