We have an exciting requirement for a Commissioning Manager to take full responsibility for Commissioning a major project.

Role Purpose

Key accountabilities

To take full responsibility for Commissioning of a major project.
To lead commissioning workshops and activities with a team of MEP Package Managers and Trade Contractors across all M&E disciplines.
To identify problems and offer solutions.
To suggest trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for Supply-chain team appraisal.
To review design and shop drawings, the project programme and contribute where necessary.
To offer high level strategic thinking at project level for commissioning activities.
To attend and present at Customer Presentations & workshops.
To manage relationships with the supply chain & Vendors
To implement processes and procedures to monitor commissioning progress, planned Vs actual on a weekly basis
To actively promote ISG philosophy and culture.
To produce precise and succinct project commissioning reports.
To take responsibility for strategic control and monitoring of the commissioning programme.
To take a lead role in the presentation of the project to the client.
To offer commissionability advice and value engineering solutions.
To provide early assessment of systems at risk during the construction and commissioning period
Initiate and chair commissioning meetings
Thorough understanding of M&E systems.
Promote and implement Zero Defects quality Initiative, ensure the project delivers to a high-quality standard.
To be actively involved in the commissioning process, offer technical support and industry experience to the Team

Skills & experience

Industry experience. Track record of successful major projects.
In-depth knowledge of the commissioning process, preferably Major projects.
Understands the construction and commissioning process. Can organise and manage the commissioning of a project.
Help prepare and maintain the client decision matrix.
Has a good political awareness.
Able to collate information from the wider team to prepare and present the project report.
Has been involved at a senior level in medium (£50m+) and preferably at least one large (£100m+) project.
Understanding of how to comply with a Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety management system
Experience of multiple IST periods

**Qualifications**:
Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines
CSCS card holder
