Responsible for introducing and embedding central direct and indirect procurement processes and standards in the newly acquired Telford plant, ensuring alignment with overall company procurement strategies and compliance with group policies.
- Participation in the continuous identification of cost-saving opportunities and potential improvements.
- Implementation of measures in the local organisation for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
- Implementation of purchasing strategies at the local level, in accordance with corporate objectives.
- Management of master and transaction data of the purchasing system, such as material master data, prices, terms, durations, source lists, and quotas.
- Ensuring timely and correct processing of all assigned administrative tasks (processing of purchase requisitions, review and approval of procurement requests, data maintenance).
- Functioning as the primary contact for procurement-related matters at the site.
- Support as the first escalation point for supplier issues in coordination with other teams.
- Support in identifying and covering procurement needs.
- Support in the transition from the project phase to series production with the project purchasing team and local interfaces.
- Ensuring the consistency of report data in the GPRS (Global Purchasing Reporting System) by monitoring and identifying deviations.

Your qualifications
To be successful in the role you will be a team player who is supportive of others, professional and approachable with a willingness to be flexible and undertake duties as required. You will have:
- Ideally at least 2 years of professional experience as a tactical/operational buyer in the automotive industry or a comparable sector or have purchasing administration experience with a desire to develop into a career in purchasing
- Strong analytical skills and negotiation abilities.
- Proactivity and perseverance in achieving purchasing objectives.
- Excellent communication skills.
