We’d all like amazing work to do, and real work-life balance. That’s waiting for you at Sainsbury’s. As the link between sellers and buyers, retail and head office, our retail operations team is the cog that keeps things running. With teams focused on store facing, labour, transformation, online, delivery and contact centre work, we touch almost every part of the business. It’s an incredibly fast-paced environment where you need to pivot not just daily, but often hourly. So while we plan all we can, it’s vital that we all think outside our job descriptions and look to optimise and improve how we do everything. There’s also a real team ethos. After all, it’s people like you who are going to truly transform this part of the business.

At Sainsbury’s we believe the customer should be at the heart of everything we do. Within the Retail, Digital & Tech division we are responsible for the experience our customers and colleagues have across our Brands and Channels. We operate in agile teams and work seamlessly together with teams across the business to make the most of the exceptional knowledge, insight and talent in our division and beyond.

As Personal Assistant to two Senior leaders within Customer Care, your role will be critical in supporting them to be highly effective in their day-to-day roles (so a passion for customers is really important). You’ll provide professional and confidential support including traditional administrative, organisational, and analytical PA tasks.

You’ll be responsible for diary management, organising internal and externals meetings and events, visits, conferences with the team and with suppliers or external bodies as required. As well as assisting with presentations, arranging travel and accommodation, expenses, and the delivery of accurate and timely information.

**More about the role**:
Read and prioritise inbound communications to leaders ensuring timely and accurate responses are issued and priorities are flagged

Maintain and administer systems on behalf of the leaders where approved and appropriate - such as procurement systems, MyHR, processing holiday requests, prioritising mandatory training and expenses in a timely manner

Act as first point of contact within the team, investigating queries from internal and external stakeholders, tenaciously taking ownership through to resolution

Ensure information required by the leaders is prioritised, collated, tracked, and stored in a manner and format that facilitates timely retrieval whilst considering information confidentiality

Collating agendas, pre reads, recording any next steps and issuing minutes for key meetings as required

Facilitate clear, accurate and timely communications to the team and stakeholders at all levels when required by the leader

Build network and work cross functionally across other domains, particularly with other support and central functions to ensure that information and meetings are managed in a way that is prioritised and is most efficient and effective for all parties

Understand customer experience objectives and work to support identifying activities that impact our customers experiences, to ensure we are able to represent appropriately

Develop strong professional relationships with the leaders, always upholding the business values for both internal and external parties, whilst maintaining a high level of discreteness and confidentiality at all times

**More about you**:
You’ll have a real connection and passion in understanding ‘Customer’ strategy

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build great relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Excellent computer skills (to include Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, Co-Pilot, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Office 365) and knowledge of Sainsbury’s systems (or capability to learn at pace)

Curiosity will be a natural trait leading you to be really proactive and self-driven in everything you do

You will be exceptionally organised and great at planning, with ability to use your initiative and pro-actively lead change and maintain a high level of confidentiality

Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a curiosity to investigate, analyse and create insight from large amounts of disparate and often complex information and report back findings

An ability to engage others, at all levels and across all divisions, by being credible, tactful and persuasive and naturally building relationships and consensus

Maturity and grounded confidence in the presence of senior people, responding in an appropriate manner to criticism and remaining optimistic in the face of obstacles

Sound judgement i
