**What are we looking for?**

We have a fantastic opportunity, that has arisen within our Border Control Operation Department, as the Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to control and supervise all activities within the facility, whilst supervising a team.

With this role we are ideally looking for someone that has got Team leader/supervisor experience, within a logistics/operations background. This person will need to have Health and Safety experience and ideally be IOSH and First Aid certified. As well as being a team leader this person will be expected to assist the operatives in the day to day tasks and ensure that they are all carried out in accordance to the Company and Health & Safety guidelines.

**What hours will I need to work?**

We are a 24/7 operation and this role will include day and night shifts, working 12 hours at a time. The good news is, this means that in a 2-week period, you will work 7 shifts and have every other weekend off

**What will the role consist of?**

This will include the driving of forklift trucks or terminal tractors, working in tight spaces, use of a lot of IT systems, dealing with risk assessments, identifying and supporting any potential training or development within the team, performance management and responsibility of direct reports. As well as this the team leader’s duty is to perform an effective handover; plan and arrange any cover needed due to absences, give out the daily workload and make sure that these are done effectively and efficiently, assist the team with any issues that may occur, ensure the safety of all their team and report any incidents that may occur.

- You will be able to adapt to different environment and teams
- You will have good managerial skills and be able to effectively manage a large team
- You will have strong knowledge of Health & Safety within the workplace and be able to adhere to and enforce the correct legislation
