We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Executive. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to manage a number of our indirect suppliers to deliver excellent value for the Group. By building strong relationships with suppliers, achieving industry-leading pricing and exceptional levels of service you will help the Vertu Purchasing department deliver outstanding value. This position will report directly to the Group Purchasing Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for the performance of a number of the Group’s indirect suppliers
- Collaborate with the purchasing team and dealerships to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving and/or spend-reduction opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong and sustainable relationships with suppliers and senior internal stakeholders based on honesty and trust.
- Monitor supplier performance, proactively addressing any issues or concerns to ensure optimal service levels.
- Travel to various locations across Britain as required to support dealerships and meet with suppliers.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years’ experience within a Purchasing or Procurement department.
- Experience within the retail industry is desirable but not required.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work well under pressure.
- The ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Willingness to travel to different locations within Britain as required.
