**About The Role**:
HMP Highpoint is a Category C men's prison over 2 sites in West Suffolk on the A143, located near to Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Cambridge.
Working shift patterns cover a variety of hours between 07:45 - 18:15. The site has departments for Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance misuse and a Registered Pharmacy.
Training and support is offered for all staff, there is also and onsite gym accessible and free to staff as well as the benefit of free parking on site.
We can offer training and development in our friendly and supportive teams as well as full-time, part-time, flexible working, fixed shift patterns, weekends and a range of other employee benefits.
We very much welcome informal visits.
**About You**:
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care.
- You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfil their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on well-being promotion clinics.
We are ideally looking for someone who has experience of working in a Health Care Assistant role or similar.

These range from reception health checks on arrival and regular GP services, to help with substance misuse, mental health, chronic or long-term conditions, podiatry, physiotherapy and optometry.
