**Management Accountant - Charity - Salary Negotiable**
A long established and well-respected charity who specialise in helping a wide range of people to find long-term and sustainable employment are looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant.
Working as part of a small finance team, the successful applicant will have full responsibility of managing the team as well as providing accurate and up to date reporting information to senior management and a board of trustees.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Maintenance of accurate and up to date department budgets
- Accurate data provision for all costings
- Monthly reporting and analysis and producing month end reports for review by the CEO & COO, providing supporting analysis for variances to forecasts and budgets.
- Produce month end balance sheet reconciliations
- Co-ordinate bank reconciliations and funder statement reconciliations
- Reconcile intercompany balances across departments, post corrections and escalate issues where they arise.
- Provide monthly grant usage against profile reports
- Managing junior finance staff to ensure all cash transactions are posted in a timely manner
- Provide information for external auditors and be a lead contact for allocated aspects of external auditing including revenue, costs, long term contracts, provisions, and working capital balances.
- Oversee payroll function to ensure that records are updated accordingly, and all expense claims are prepared within time limits
To be considered for this role, the ideal applicant will be a qualified or part qualitied accountant (ACA/CIMA/ ACCA) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a medium sized finance department.
You will be a high-level user of Microsoft Office programmes, with advanced Excel Skills as the ability to manipulate data efficiently and use models to present results to finance and non-finance users is an integral part of the role.
This is a fast-paced role and so resilience under pressure, with the ability to meet strict deadlines is a must.
Good understanding of restricted and unrestricted funds, experience using XERO and experience using Frutli is advantageous.
