**Hours**: 35 hours per week. Flexibility in working pattern, in agreement with line manager

**Based**:Oxford. [Hybrid working is available]

The Mend the Gap Project Officer will help nature recover by providing wildlife friendly management advice and delivering habitat enhancement works, supporting landowners to act for nature and manage their land positively for wildlife.

What you’ll be doing;
- Building relationships with, and creating habitat management plans for, landowners throughout the Mend the Gap project area
- Preparing work specifications, managing quotes and instructing external contractors to carry out works
- Supervising external contractors carrying out surveys and capital works on our Cholsey Marsh Reserve and third party land
- Providing advice to landowners on sources of funding for wildlife friendly land management and developing links between local volunteer organisations to facilitate nature conservation activities

What we’re looking for;
- Ability to connect with people across BBOWT as well as external stakeholders such as landowners, farmers and contractors to deliver conservation based activities
- Ability to independently draw up conservation management plans
- Experience of drawing up work specifications and managing contractors carrying out works on site
- Able to work to targets/deadlines without close supervision
