Junior Quality Assurance Tester

Henfield, United Kingdom Cut My Plastic Full time

**Introduction**

At Cut My Plastic, we believe interior and exterior transformation should be easy, so our aim is to provide a seamless and fuss free experience when it comes to all things DIY. We provide an entirely personalised experience for all customers with precisely cut sheet materials.

We’re looking to expand our team with a Junior QA Tester so that we can continue to develop our offering. Your primary focus will be on the delivery of new features to our website cutmyplastic.co.uk. We are a unique ecommerce company in that we attempt to keep as much of our systems internal, so our manufacturing, sorting, and packing systems are also developed in-house - so there are plenty of systems to sink your teeth into.

We are flexible with working locations (the whole team WFH on Fridays), but during the probationary period would prefer a focus on working in the office as you settle into the team. At the office you will be right at the heart of the operations with the inspiring Founder, Managing Director, Customer Services, and Manufacturing all on location.

**The Role**:
Working alongside our internal team of developers and external development teams, you will provide real-time feedback on the quality of our products. You will get the opportunity to work on a range of projects where you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of web platforms and industry verticals.

Being part of a small, but growing team, will mean you have to be happy to get stuck in and involved with areas that aren’t necessarily part of your usual role of QA Tester. This could include system admin and internal technical support. It also means that you get to be involved in conversations and decisions regarding the current and future projects - all opinions and input are appreciated and considered.

You will report to the Head of Digital.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for the development of test scripts, functional and compatibility test execution, reporting of any issues discovered during testing and daily reports on progress.
- Scoping, planning, and scripting for test requirements based on technical documentation
- Test Execution, both experience based, and document driven
- Compatibility testing, taking advantage of our industry-leading test lab
- Reporting of issues found using Jira
- Completion of test scripts, reporting of results and recommending next steps
- Escalation of major issues to Head of Digital

**Essential Skills**:

- Minimum of 1 years testing experience or relatable work/education experience
- Have a good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Competent in analysis of requirements and identifying test conditions.
- Can multitask on numerous tasks and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
- Maintain a high level of quality across your work
- Work well within a team-oriented environment as well as independently
- An organised, strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A clear interest in technology and desire to stay up to date in a moving field

**Bonus Points For**:

- ISTQB qualification
- Coding skills
- Other technical experience

**What We Offer**:

- Professional development plans and training budgets
- Hybrid working (Following an initial 2-week onboarding at our head office)
- Company pension scheme
- 28 days holiday (inc, Bank Holidays)
- Regular company social events, including our annual summer/winter parties
- Fast-paced, rapid-growth culture
- Casual dress code
- Salary dependant on experience, starting from £21,000 per year

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Casual dress
- Company pension
- On-site parking

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
