**Tester - Software**
Our client is seeking a Tester to come and join their team based in the heart of vibrant Brighton. The position at the moment is typically remote working, but they see this moving towards a more hybrid model in the not-so-distant future.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, which are to be completed at employee discretion whilst observing the core hours of 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
**Responsibilities**:
Working as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary Agile team, the Automation Tester will:
- Create test cases for the effective delivery of agreed software functionality
- Contribute to and maintain the automated test suites in C#
- Manage and execute manual test cases accurately and within agreed timescales and budgets
- Capture test evidence and liaise with the team to report observations and retest when appropriate
- Ensure requirements are fully met through testing against user stories
- Engage fully and work consistently in line with the Company Values:

- Act as an embedded resource within the team offering testing support where appropriate
- Perform an active role in the development of tlmNexus’ test processes, making recommendations and reporting on trends within the wider testing environment
- The role will require the holder to be able to function with minimum supervision
**Experience Knowledge and Skills**
**Essential**:
- Minimum of 3 years commercial automated testing experience within a.net or Java environment with following
- Selenium, C#,.Net, XML, SQL Server, Azure DevOps
- TFS, GIT LAB
- Agile Scrum/KANBAN
- STLC / SDLC
- Familiar with performance testing tools like Apache JMeter or similar
- Experience writing automated test scripts / building automated test frameworks from scratch
- Experience in Full Software Testing Lifecycle STLC / Software Development Lifecycle SDLC
- Experience with all levels of testing: System, Integration, Performance, security & Regression
- Hold an ISEB/ISTQB or other relevant qualification
- Able to achieve UK security clearance
- Must have proven experience writing effective and maintainable automated tests cases (not simply click and record)
- Strong exploratory testing skills
- Must be able to work autonomously, using their own initiative
**Desirable**
- Exposure to Selenium Grid
- Knowledge of NUnit, JUnit or TestNG frameworks
- OWASP Web Security Testing
- Experience in JavaScript development
- Some background development experience such as SQL, Java, C#, VB, etc
- Knowledge of the Page Object Model
