**Job Title**: Accountability and Scrutiny Chair

**Reporting to**:Student Voice and Insight Manager, Union Affairs Officer

**Place of Work**: Remote working with the option of using the Student Centre facilities

**Contract Type**:Fixed term September 2024 - June 2025

**Hours of Work**:10 hours per semester

**Rate of pay**:£12.00 per hour

Here at The University of York Students Union, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Union as the Accountability and Scrutiny Chair.

**About the role**:
The Students' Union is a vibrant and dynamic organization dedicated to representing and supporting the diverse student body of York. We strive to create an inclusive and empowering environment where every student's voice is heard and valued and that our decisions and actions are transparent and accessible to our members. We're looking for someone to play a crucial part in ensuring transparency, fairness and accountability within the Union. You will work closely with the Sabbatical Officer and members of SUmmit to ensure they are held to account and scrutinised as well as working to enhance mechanisms whereby students can hold their representatives to account.
