Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team in Adult Mental Health services.
We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, dedicated to providing outstanding, patient focused care as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will have previous experience working in a therapy environment, ideally with individuals living with mental health conditions.
The vacancy is based in the Hergest Unit on the Ysbyty Gwynedd site.
As an occupational therapy assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to the team of qualified Occupational Therapists in the mental health service.
You will be involved in delivering treatment programmes under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist which will include increasing independence in functional activities and delivery of group interventions. You will also be involved in the assessment and on-going review of individuals.
The team has a strong commitment to CPD and service development and you will be well supported as the role develops.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
