Engineering Admin (Administrator) Department: Engineering Reports to: Engineering Manager Location: West Bromwich B70

Would suit a DATA INPUT or someone from an ENGINEERING background
SUMMARY Coordinate the production of documentation required for customer orders, working with the project, design, purchasing and aftermarket departments to meet quality and time objectives. Coordinate the access to and update of the company's information oncustomer (project) portals. Support the design department in production of bills of materials Ensure all documents are produced in accordance with customer specifications, and to ensure compliance with the Business Management System (BMS). Complete all assignedactivities under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1. Liaise with departments, external customers and external suppliers on all matters related to collation, coordination, production and checking of internal and customer (order) documentation (primarily, operation and maintenance manuals).
2. Work within different company departments if required on other aspects of documentation.
3. Ensure documentation is delivered on time and to the required standards, that will be the company standard or standards issued by the customer under any customer order
4. Continuously improve documentation standards, proposing changes to company policies and procedures
5. Maintain an accessible and effective system or database of documentation production status to report to departments progress of all documentation under production
6. Continuously improve the productivity of documentation production, proposing changes to deliver documentation more efficiently
7. Coordinate with the project and design departments access to and update of customer (project) portals
8. Support the production bills of materials as required inputting to the companies ERP system from engineering information
9. Work and perform in full compliance with the company's Business Management System (BMS). 10. Perform all work in accordance with instructions or information provided
11. Other duties that may be assigned as required.
LOCAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following;
1. Assist in updates of Engineering Procedures as required
2. Attend meetings as required
3. Liaise with suppliers to obtain information for documentation required
4. Liaise with customers as requested to clarify requirements for documentation LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination and prioritising of own work and coordinate inputs of others to documentation requirements Lead own personal development as required
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Experience within Documentation/Administrative and Organised role. Strong computer skills, including in MS suite of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS. Capability to quickly develop skills in other software.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documentation related to the Engineering Department standards. Ability to work to a high standard with customers, suppliers and other departments within. Excellent verbal and written communicationskills. Excellent problem solving skills and analytical thinking. Excellent presentation skills
INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT, DECISION MAKING & PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to make decisions requiring the use of a variety of variables in standard situations, including calling upon and coordinating the efforts of key personnel from within and externally resources.
