Our Global technology services Data team have a great opportunity to join our fast paced and forward thinking function as a Data Solutions Developer on a hybrid basis out of offices in Manchester

You'll be driving and managing solutions across our data-focussed organisation, we need a detailed, accurate and skilled expert

**Your Role**:

- Assist in the logical and physical design of ETL (extract, transform and load) solutions, deriving technical requirements from established business needs.
- Design and deliver ETL packages to implement the functional spec of the solution. Undertake detailed profiling of source system databases, inform business rule cleansing operations and take necessary action.
- Prepare documentation, including requirements documents, solution designs, data dictionaries and release notes. Ensure that functionality is tasked and effort estimated to enable effective planning and delivery.
- Keep aligned with new technologies and software versions, being able to present assessments of tools and new products to colleague developers.

**Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:

- Experience in Business Intelligence /Management Information development.
- Proven knowledge of BI /Data Warehouse theory. Microsoft SQL Server Database engine, Integration Services and Reporting Services.
- Experience in using other database platforms, including Oracle, MySQL will be useful. Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft.NET technologies or other traditional coding is advantageous but not a necessity. PowerBI, some knowledge of non-Microsoft visualisationtool such as Qlikview, Tableau useful.
- Extensive experience of Microsoft BI Tool-stack on Data Warehousing projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to problem solve in a quick and effective professional manner. Comfortable leading working groups, negotiating and building consensus.
- Strong analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Effectively managing own workload and delivering results. Confident and assertive, happy to shares knowledge openly and acts with integrity and sensitivity.
- Driven, ambitious and able to lead research and triage of complex problems, tactical and strategic solutions. Supports and encourages transformation, adapts quickly to evolving priorities and work demands.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
