General Labourer

**General Labourer for Heritage Building Company - Shepton Mallet, Somerset**

Lime Repair Ltd is a building company specialising in the repair of heritage buildings using traditional materials. We often work on very old buildings and you will experience historic construction methods not often seen these days. This is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced experts and you will learn many different skills.

Your duties include: Mixing lime mortars and plasters and cleaning buckets and equipment. Keeping the site, mixing area and scaffolding swept and tidy at all times. You will be fetching and carrying, barrowing, hacking off and raking out. You will assist our construction and plastering teams.

Experience is preferable but full training will be given for the right applicant.

You will be:

- Hardworking, enthusiastic and honest.
- Happy to take instructions and work as part of any of our teams.
- You will be fit and strong because the work is very physical.
- You will ideally have an interest in old buildings, traditional construction methods and materials, and you must be prepared to learn.
- Relatively local to the Shepton Mallet area.
- Preferably have a driving license and be a car owner but this is not essential if you are local to Shepton Mallet. We work within Somerset and some of our jobs are a good distance away. We reimburse mileage over 20 miles drive each day.

Immediate start is available.

You will be employed initially on a Zero Hours contract, accruing statutory holiday pay on hours worked and entitled to join our Pension Scheme.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
